Casio_dt10It may only be sold in Japan but Casio has surprised the industry with the first Pocket PC device they’ve introduced in several years. The new Windows Mobile powered DT-10 seems to be aimed at the industrial sector as Casio is claiming it is shock-proof (from a drop of 1 meter) and dust-proof. The DT-10 will come in two models, the DT-10 M50 and the DT-10 M50s, with Bluetooth only and WiFi plus Bluetooth respectively. Both models sport the same specifications:416 mHz PXA270, 128 MB RAM, 64 MB ROM (20 MB available to the user), VGA screen, SDIO and CF slots, 2300 mAh batteryThe DT-10 will be offered with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition and availability of November is claimed. Casio has always designed devices that are almost utilitarian in looks and the DT-10 is no exception. Thanks to engadget for the heads up.
