Portable Firefox on USB drive

FirefoxI am getting more impressed with Firefox with each release. It is a powerful browser and you can totally customize the browsing environment until you are happy. And do not get me started on the joys of tabbed browsing. Many Firefox users are near evangelistic about using the cool browser and feel empty when they are stuck working on someone else’s computer that does not have Firefox installed. To help these folks out an enterprising developer, John Haller, has created Portable Firefox, a fairly complete version of a Firefox distribution that loads onto a little USB key drive. When you have to work on someone else’s PC you plug the USB drive in and you have Firefox bliss. No remnants of your browsing are left on the PC when you unplug. There are some minor issues that the author details quite nicely on the Portable Firefox web page.
