QRS Diagnostic makes a software based medical device that when connected to a computer turns it into a electrocardiogram machine.   Universal ECG is a software-based diagnostic electrocardiograph device that connects to computers via USB, PC Card and serial ports. It is designed primarily for use with handheld, laptop, tablet and desktop PCs.  The device is now going to be sold in Japan which is the second largest medical market in the world.  QRS also makes devices compatible with Pocket PCs that allows health care providers to work with patient data at the point of care.  It makes perfect sense to use mobile computers and Pocket PCs in the health care field where it can be important to have the right information at a crucial moment.
