File it with ContentSaver
David Hewson is at it again with some advice for people that do a lot of research and need to collect the information. I recently told you how I use OneNote for collecting and organizing the research I do for writing but David’s needs are more heavy duty. He does a lot of research for his novels and needs industrial strength reference gathering and filing. He uses ContentSaver and has written a nice article about the capabilities of the program. I’m going to have a look at it and see if it might work for me. Meanwhile, have a go at David’s review.
James: The beta release of ContentSaver 2.0 was just announced. It adds a ton of new features and now works with Maxthon and SlimBrowser for those who cannot live without tabs in their browser.

It’s a handy app and competes well against Onfolio (which is also in early beta testing on their 2.0 version but not publicly available yet). Onfolio 2.0 will reportedly work with Firefox as well as IE.
Thanks Marc. David Hewson just emailed me about the beta too but I didn’t know it was publicly available. Is the beta solid enough to use it daily?
If past experience is any measure, yes. This is a smart company. I’d be very surprised if they released a publis beta that wasn’t feature-complete and already well-tested.
