Today is HP’s big day for product announcements and I am happy to say they have finally introduced a convertible Tablet PC to their thin line. The tc4200 runs on a Celeron M processor and can handle up to 2 GB of memory. With an integrated SD slot and a digital eraser pen the tc4200 is ready to work as both a slate or a laptop for convenience. Full specs after the jump.

1Intel’s numbering is not a measurement of higher performance.
Seems a bit dated in specs and styling (especially in light of the “ancient” TC1100).
This has been getting bashed so much, but I like it. First thing to keep in mind: it’s HP. They’re not gonna go out on a limb and be innovative. But it looks like a solid Tablet to get more into the market and hopefully bring more people into the Tablet world. And up to 2GB RAM in a Tablet? *drools*
Wish my U70 could have more than the 512 that’s in there.

“And up to 2GB RAM in a Tablet?”
correct me if I’m wrong but dont most modern Tablets support 2gigs?
Geez, do they? I’ve been living with 1GB in mine =/
*feels so behind the techonolgy curve*

Doesn’t help to have more than 1GB Ram if you haven’t loaded Server. XP can only access 1GB according to my IT specialist. This confirms our struggles to use the 2GB Ram on three HP NW8000 at work. Daniel
