Is Microsoft Acrylic Tablet friendly?
Microsoft has quietly released a beta version of a new graphics program, code named Acrylic. The program is available for download and I have been playing with it for a few days. It’s a little rough around the edges as you would expect for an early beta but I have been able to answer my most pressing question- is it Tablet friendly? According to Microsoft the program is intended to be used with a graphics tablet and I could find no mention on the Acrylic site if it would work well on a Tablet PC. I’m happy to say that it seems to work well on the Tablet PC, I get full pressure sensitivity when working with various tools and the pen. I’m no artist but the program shows real promise once it’s polished with a few iterations.
C/Net published an article about Acrylic today if you want more information.
