HP recalls faulty battery packs for notebooks
HP has issued a recall for battery packs that may have a defect that affects some batteries manufactured between March 2004 and September 2004. The batteries may overheat and pose a fire or burn hazard. If your battery has a bar code that begins with GC, IA, L0, L1 HP is replacing them for all notebooks on the following list:
