OneNote 12 features- from the horse’s mouth

Chris Pratley has done a wonderful job detailing how much better the next version of OneNote will handle ink. This is a must read for all OneNote fans. Highlights of the new features:

Ink can now be copied and pasted from the clipboard and will remain ink!

You will be able to lasso ink and work with it a la Windows Journal (woot!).

Widgets will not show up while you write on the page- just like on paper.

As you write near the bottom of the page it will automatically extend to give you more “paper”.

Adding space between ink/ text on a page will move everything down by default, as it should.

There is now a totally new ink parser that can even recognize slanted text (one of my biggest problems).

  • JK, it is so good to hear that the new One Note will enable you to lassoo ink the way you can in Journal. I don’t know why they didn’t have this from the start – it’s the reason I don’t use One Note (I prefer EverNote Plus instead). Keep up the good work… Jon Dee
