Nokia upgrades 770 Internet Tablet, adds Google Talk

Nokia has announced that an upgraded version of the 770 Internet Tablet will be available soon for $390 and will come preloaded with Google Talk.  Google Talk is the VoIP service from the search giant that provides free phone calls between Google Talk members.  Nokia did not divulge any new features that might also accompany the upgraded 770.  The 770 does not offer cellular capabilities so the addition of Google Talk is obviously an attempt to provide some communication functionality.

  • Until they offer a nicely integrated keyboard accessory, the 770 is nothing more than a garden variety PDA. Worse actually, as the plastic device can be quite buggy and slow and doesn’t sync nicely like a Palm or Axim.
