The hassle with Skype is that you have to be at the computer to initiate calls, and it doesn’t seem that this device is changing that as it (probably) doesn’t let you “dial” a Skype contact from a random phone.

Instead of paying $55 for this solution, I’d probably rather get one of these Linksys cordless internet phones for Skype:
