Get a copy of Evernote Plus or ritePen for free!

Sample-smallEvernote Plus is a great note-taking application with a wide range of features that make it a powerhouse program on PCs and especially Tablet PCs with its ink support.  Evernote also produces ritePen, a program aimed at Tablet PCs and UMPCs that lets you write in ink anywhere on the screen and have the converted text inserted in any program or window.  I have used both programs and can testify to the utility they both bring to the table (or Tablet).  I find ritePen especially useful on touchscreen devices.  The folks at Evernote periodically collect handwriting samples from the public to help make their handwriting recognition even more accurate and they are making a tremendous offer to anyone willing to submit samples of their handwriting.  Anyone willing to participate in the handwriting sample submission will receive either Evernote Plus or ritePen for free.  You even get to choose which program you want to receive.  The whole process just takes a few minutes and a reader informed me he had his free program just a couple of days after submitting his handwriting samples.  Head on over and get the free program while the offer is still good.

This is great. I wanted ritePen but didn’t know whether or not I should get it or some other program because ritePen doesn’t support Chinese. Now since there is a chance to get it for free, this is a great deal. =P Thanks for letting us know.

  • I sent in my sample on Monday, and I got an email back today with the details to download my free copy, it’s a really fast response.

I sent in a couple samples, both including Journal notes and screenshots of the Journal pages with and without rule. Hopefully one of them will be useful to them.

I don’t even really mind whether I get it or not. I just want to do what I can to make the Tablet PC a more useful platform.

Link does not work any more

  • Alzira, that was almost 3 years ago, it probably doesn’t.
