UltrasyncAlthough folks tend to forget the concept, the UMPC is really meant to be a companion device. Sure, some of us ‘radical’ folks use it as a primary computing device, but the strengths of the UMPC really shine as a companion to a more powerful notebook or desktop.

Lucky for us, imagineLAN, Inc. did remember the original UMPC concept and they’re planning a third quarter release of UltraSync 1.0. UltraSync will keep your files, folders, IE favorites and even your Outlook data fully synchronized between a UMPC and host PC. Sure, there’s other ways to synch certain types of data (like FolderShare or a Microsoft Exchange server), but UltraSync looks to add a simple and reliable method for keeping your companion device synchronized with your main computer.
