Dave, it takes much more audio technology to make me and Matt sound so good. Marc and James have natural “on air presence”, so they can use a smaller file and still sound terrific! Actually, it’s just the different bitrates that are used to encode the shows.

Hey…here’s another question for you… Every Monday I download the latest OnTheRun with Tablet PCs and MobileTechRoundup Podcasts (well…every Monday morning that they are available!).

This morning I found that the OnTheRun with Tablet PCs mp3 file is a little over 15.5 MB (the show is 44:30 minutes long) and the MobileTechRoundup file is almost 36 MB (show is 38:12 minutes long). So…even though the OnTheRun with Tablet PCs show is longer, the file is less than half the size of the MobileTechRoundup file.

Is this due to the fact that MobileTechRoundup has more hosts (so there are more words spoken), or is it due to the fact that Marc talks much faster than Kevin or Matt…so the words are compressed?

I had looked at WindowBlinds about a month ago after finding an old entry on the jkOnTheRun site talking about getting a Vista look on WinXP. Unfortunately, when I searched for any of the themes mentioned either on jkOnTheRun or other locations, it seemed that they were all taken down (seems someone didn’t like the fact that they were mimicking the Glass “look and feel”).

How are you guys getting the Vista Glass look? Are you using a theme that is readily available?
