vista_logo.jpgHey if you start downloading Vista RC1 today, you might actually have this build before the real one is released! Actually, it’s not that bad, but last week, my computer churned away through the night grabbing all of Vista’s little bits and bytes for about 16 hours.

It’s yours for the downloading and while you’re waiting for the complete build, you might be interested in these articles relating to the RC1 build:

  • You’re correct Frank and this was so confusing that the Windows Team Vista blog published a clarification here: http://blogs.technet.com/windowsvista/archive/2006/09/06/454446.aspx

Looks like CPP participants only for now with public availability in the very near future.

  • I just downloaded RC1 in 15 minutes here at work! I used the download mangager because I thought I would have to pause and restart a few times. Now, if I only had a registration key. hint hint;) I didn’t activate my Beta 2 but I would love to install the RC1 and see how the tablet PC stuff works.

  • The server must’ve been reeally busy for you Kevin, I downloaded it in just over 3 hours today and I’m burning it now. Maybe no-one else in Britain was downloading it at the same time as me or I got my data streamlined through the quickest route to my pc :p
