How about using your Samsung Q1 as a GPS device? Will you try this? If you mostly use a GPS in a car, maybe consider a car-mounting kit (see they are selling these on ebay) and a bluetooth or wired GPS connected to it?

Would love to hear how the Samsung Q1 can work as a GPS. Really considering getting the new Pentium model of the Q1 – and GPS in the car is definitely one use I’d like to see – as well as an mp3/wma player hooked up to my stereo (or using one of these FM transmitters).

Quick Question: How do the headphones work when flying? I have the Bose noise cancelling headphones and they take up a lot of space in my ever shrinking bag..

Mike, the Portable Power Station is 9 x 5 x .75 inches and weighs about 1.87 lbs. It is almost exactly the same size as the Q1, perhaps a tad smaller. I just checked their web site and the price went up $100 since yesterday. Ouch.

Alslayer, I modified the post as I neglected to put a link in to my review of the Booq Boa XS bag I referred to in the original post. I just checked their web site and it looks like they no longer offer the XS, which is the small size. They still offer the XL (huge) and the XM sizes, however.

How much does that big battery weigh? And size?

I bought the Samsung organizer and USB keyboard but it seems too thick to put in my bag. Maybe I should rearrange.

Neat post, JK. I use my Samsung Power Bank with my Q1 the way you describe using your Powerstation. The Power Bank doesn’t go anywhere near the Powerstation but it does significantly increase battery life. It may just be my imagination but I think that Network Hardware Control program also extends my battery life. I haven’t done any formal testing since I’m usually plugged in for at least part of every day, but I haven’t run into any situations where I don’t have enough juice to compute yet.

My convertable style tablet, though most often used in slate mode, cell phone, HP ipaq PDA and several usb drives for moving things between computers at school. i (and my fiancee) wish that I had a GPS unit. I still can’t get the whole left and right thing straight and as he says, “thataway doesn’t mean much when I can’t see you”
