Zune hack to run under Vista
Zune news is all over the web with reviewers either loving the new media player from Microsoft or hating it. That’s business as usual for a new MIcrosoft product so there’s no surprise there but I have to admit with Vista going RTM recently the news that the Zune software would not install under Vista indicated a big goof on the part of MS. Never fear, the user community always rises to correct glaring oversights like this and Paul O’Brien of Modaco has written an install hack that allows the Zune software to install and run under Vista. You can find complete instructions and the downloadable hack here so if you’ve already taken the double plunge (Vista and Zune) then head over and give it a go.

I did link to the guy who wrote the one I mentioned. Perhaps someone else has also hacked it.
That other guy might have hacked it first, but Paul @ MoDaCo hacked it BETTER.

Works flawlessly on Vista RC2 (build 5744). Seems more stable than my XP install!
