Pocket_express_xv_6700The Nokia E62 on Cingular is the latest smartphone to garner support for Pocket Express by Handmark. If you’re just looking for News, Sports and Weather, Pocket Express will provide that to your handheld for free. $6.99 a month gets you tons of additional bundled services like Street Maps, Driving Directions, TV News, Astrology, Dear Abby and much more.

I just downloaded Pocket Express directly on my XV 6700 and was running in a few short minutes after the initial configuration (shown). I don’t personally need the additional paid services, but for folks that only carry a smartphone around, I could see the value. Additionally, I definitely like the multi-tab navigation at the bottom of the screen and the updates were quick on Verizon’s EV-DO.

The Nokia E62 on Cingular is the latest addition to the growing number of supported devices; if you download Pocket Express, you can try all of the services free for two full weeks. Bear in mind that Pocket Express uses your phone’s data connection for updates, so watch your plan and usage for data charges.
