Vmware_logo_1Looks like 2007 is shaping up to be the "Year of the Virtual Machine"; VMWare announced their beta of Fusion, a virtualization client for Mac OS X. If you’re keeping score that makes for three ways to run Windows on the Mac: Parallels, Boot Camp and now Fusion.

Fusion adds a few tweaks over the other options: native USB 2.0 support and the ability to assign multiple processors to your virtual machine if you have a dual core CPU. The beta is public, so if you’re running OS X on an Intel processor, you can join in the virtual fun and file virtual bugs.
