James, I’m very interested in news of the Flybook V5i. It seems much more powerful than the P1610. I think gottabemobile.com has the latest on the new Flybook. I’d love to see some in depth reviews of it.

What I prefer in the P1610 are the extended battery life, palm rejection technology, and higher rez (768 vs the Flybook’s 600). But its slower processor (Core Solo vs Flybook’s Core 2 Duo) and less memory are big turn-offs. I wish Fujitsu would upgrade the P1610 already. I can wait 2 months for an upgrade, but not the year they’ll likely take. Any info on an earlier upgrade, given the release of Vista and competition with the new Flybook?

Michael Venlni, I didn’t slam Tablet PCs at all, I just pointed out that the smaller Tablets work better for me. I have friends who can’t use one smaller than a 14″ screen and would no doubt say something similar about the P1610.

I think tablet PCs have their place, but James’ routine is definitely fit with a mobile device!

Every device has its place and its owner, James just prefers mobile devices.

I enjoy your stuff all the time, but I really didn’t like this article. You really seemed to slam tablet pcs quite a lot. Mostly their size, compare to your Fujitsu.

I know it’s your opinion, but I really don’t think you need to slam them so much. Some people enjoy using the 12 inch screens a little more better then the smaller 8-9 inch screen.

JK, I was really hoping you’d give this kind of additional review of how the Fuji worked over CES. Thanks! And, the MOTR live version gave us a great insight into how much everyone enjoyed the face-to-face time. By the way, which model Booq bag do you use?
