Fujitsu_p7230At 1.2 kilograms with a 10.6-inch screen, I think it’s acceptable to call the Fujitsu P7230 an ‘ultraportable’; just don’t call it yours if you live outside of Taiwan, since that’s where it was released today. At a U.S. price of just over $2,000, it’s not a bad portable package:

  • Intel Core Solo U1400 CPU at 1.2GHz
  • WXGA resolution
  • 1 GB of RAM, upgradeable to 2 GB
  • 80 GB drive at 4200 RPM
  • 6-cell battery quoted at 6 hours of battery life
  • 802.11 a/b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR

You get your choice of MacBook black or white with the P7230; it would be nice to see this form factor in a convertible Tablet PC as in a "T4215 Jr".
