That way, if I miss an update on IM, or due to the &quot;quiet time&quot; on text messages, I can still catch up with all the wild goings on of my friends when I read my feeds the next morning. :-)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One of the coolest things about Twitter is how context sensitive it can be - it doesn&#039;t care if you update via SMS, the web, IM, or a widget, and it doesn&#039;t care if your friends receive your messages via any of those, either.
