Qipit

Qipit looks to be a service very similar (if not identical) to ScanR, which we’ve previously covered in a 2005 MoTR podcast. Essentially, if you want to capture handwritten notes on paper or a whiteboard, you simply use your cameraphone to snap a picture of them, send them to qipit and you’ll receive a high-resolution PDF of your text; all for free currently. I could defintely see a use for the service if you’re a student, but it could definitely have a home in the office as well.

The qipit folks just pinged me via e-mail to share their current promotion as well. Send them a funny Valentine qipit using their designs by February 14th and they’ll choose the best one. The winner gets a new Apple iPhone upon availability.
