Time to test Apple service

Yup, most of the Mac commenters were right: once you suspect and confirm a hardware issue, there’s not much to do but call for Apple Care. I did re-install Mac OS X on Tuesday night and ran the MacBook Pro all day yesterday without any issues. Then, around 3pm, the crashes started coming back. This morning it got even worse as the above screen is all I can get.
I’ve already contacted Apple for support and after sharing the hardware test results, they agree it’s likely a bad memory module, so off to the King of Prussia Apple Store I go. My service phone call was handled very well and I only waited for about 2 minutes on hold. Hopefully, the Apple Store will swap the RAM and I’ll be good to go very quickly. Before I get hammered with more "you’re just dissin’ Mac service to tout Windows" comments, check back through our prior posts. I’ve chronicled issues and support experience with UMPCs and other Windows device in the past. It’s all good info for our mobile audience and that’s why we share it.

They are only supposed to swap the memory in store if you buy the Apple Care Pro card for $99 on top of y our Apple Care plan.
“you’re just dissin’ Mac service to tout Windows”
You MS Tool!
(Hahahaha!)
The apple store is a great place to get service, my ipods hard disk died, I took it there and they tested it and replaced it in about 10 minutes, and it was an all around good experience. Ive heard horror stories, but not me, for me it was great!
The current Mac advertising tag line is “It just works”…
Looks like I got “a bad Apple” because it’s not “just working”.
More to follow later today with an update post.
What, scared to grab a screwdriver and use this as an opportunity for an upgrade?
Me, scared? http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/2006/06/samsung_q1_goes.html
