Clipboard Recorder: a handy productivity booster

ClipboardrecorderlgDigital-Lifestyles reviewed a handy little app called Clipboard Recorder and since it resides in the tray, it looks to be a prime candidate for a UMPC or Tablet PC. Aside from product functionality, I often look for easy access and usability on my touchscreen Windows device. Clipboard Recorder doesn’t do anything fancy; it simply helps you manage clipboard items in memory for quick reuse. While that might not sound glamorous, the application looks to do this function very well, based on the review. The app isn’t limited to plain text: you can use it to manage stored RTF, HTML, images and more. There’s a limited freeware edition and a more powerful version at $29.95; from what I can see, the free version has enough power for most users, so give it a look.

  • Try Ditto-cp. It’s free and OSS. Hosted at SourceForge. The developer is incredibly responsive (check the SF forums) and able.
I’ve been using this app for almost two years and think it’s the best clipboard manager out there (with an unbeatable price).
