Sandisk_32gb_ssdWhile you’re paying your last respects to the Dell Axim line of PDAs, be sure to visit another computing casket as well today. Fujitsu had planned a 1.8-inch traditional hard drive line for mobile devices but just put the kibosh on it with a wait-and-see approach. Fujitsu realizes that the storage market appears poised towards flash-based or SSD drives; in my opinion, canceling plans to fabricate magnetic storage devices is a wise move. Remember, my prediction is that by this time next year we’ll see nearly as many new devices with SSD storage as we do with traditional magnetic storage.
