1-inch IDE flash drives from Transcend

IdeflashdiskTranscend already has 2.5- and 1.8-inch flash drives, so why not go for the trifecta? They did just that with the announcement of a 1-inch IDE drive that contains no moving parts. Capacities are on the low end: 2-, 4-, and 8 GB only, but I’d see these useful in small handhelds and cells, not in UMPCs and up where we’re dreaming of speedy 200 GB drives. The 40.0mm x 30.0mm x 3.3mm appear to be geared towards non-mobile devices since Transcend suggests them for industrial PCs and set-top boxes, but I wouldn’t mind having this in my next smartphone; pending the price, which isn’t mentioned in the press release.
