Fujitsu Lifebook T4220: Santa Rosa Tablet PC gets a review

Fujitsulifebookt4220iFujitsu barely got the ink to dry on their Santa Rosa-based Tablet PC introduction, the Lifebook T4220, and LAPTOP magazine already has a review up. LAPTOP gives the T4220 a four-out-of-five star rating and seemed generally pleased with performance on the new Intel platform. What was lacking? Battery life didn’t meet expectations, with the ‘DVD test’ running the juice dry just over 2 hours. Based on that result, LAPTOP figures you’ll top out around 3 hours on the standard battery but can double that by losing the optical drive and swapping it with a six-cell extended battery. Aside from that, the convertible tabby scored well in most other benchmarks thanks to a peppy 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 800 MHz FSB paired with 2 GB of RAM. The review is well worth the read if you’re in the market for a powerful 4.3-pound Tablet PC and a price-tag of $1,750 or higher is within your budget.
