Palm Treo 755p: nice screen, EV-DO and Google Maps integration
This must be ‘fondle mobile device week’ and nobody told me. First it was Mike Cane with the Samsung Q1U and now it’s those Gizmodians with the new Palm Treo 755. The Palm OS unit offers a 320 x 320 screen and packs Sprint’s EV-DO inside for speedy Rev 0 surfing; I wonder if Sprint used a Rev A capable radio for a software and speed upgrade later? The Google Map integration with your contacts is a nice touch and just might get me to enter my contact’s addresses, since that’s the integration point.

COOL! I want a PalmOS based Treo! I love that this is EVDO. It should be on Verizon as well. I hope it’s on Verizon by the time my renewal comes up in January.
PalmOS based Treos should work better for me as you generally don’t have to buy anything else to sync it with MacOS.
Vincent has done a full review of the 755p over at SlashGear, if you’re interested: http://www.slashgear.com/palm-treo-775p-initial-hands-on-review-085145.php
He seems enamoured, but I’m still not sure about the Palm OS…
