Palm’s on-again, off-again maintenance release for Sprint 700p is on-again

700pupdate_phoneinfosprintRemember that Palm maintenance release for the 700p? It was due out the last week of May, surfaced on June 1st and then was promptly pulled due to reports of endless device resets. It’s ba-ack. Actually, I think Palm did the right thing as soon as the problem was verified as relatively widespread: pull the release and fix the problem. So if you’ve got a Palm Treo 700p on Sprint’s network, you can hit up the update BUT, it’s only appearing for upgrades via an SD card. Sounds like the desktop updater is still not quite a 100%. Perhaps you want to wait and see some other brave souls upgrade first? Oh and Verizon 700p owners, you’re still waiting in the wings for now.
