I use slingplayer on my P1610 as well as my Moto Q, it is an amazing piece of technology, and priced right with the one time fee and no monthly fees. It puts Sprint TV to shame, and that is my fear, that eventually the carriers will figure out a way to either shut out slingplayer and similar services, or will eat them up and charge monthly.

I have the Palm version, and I can testify that the TV experience on my Treo 700 is just amazing. It is far better than anything Sprint offers by way of TV. During the NBA playoffs, I was stuck for a weekend in a cabin in the mountains. No TV, no telephone, no cable. A good Sprint wireless signal let me watch as much of the games as I wanted…the video was that good. If you don’t want to gather the family around the ol’ cellphone to watch your Tivo movies, then play it fullscreen on your tablet (if you have wifi or a good cell signal).
