MicroSDHC up to 8 GB from SanDisk

Microsdhc8gbMicroSDs are the coolest things, I use a 2 GB card in my T-Mobile Dash and every time I look at it I can’t believe that 2 GB of stuff can be crammed on that little chip.  My wonder has grown by leaps and bounds as SanDisk has announced two new capacities in the microSDHC format, 6 and 8 GB.  That’s just incredible to think 8 GB of anything could fit on a card the size of my fingernail.  Make sure your device’s slot can handle the microSDHC high density format and if it can you can carry a whole iPhone’s worth of music on that sliver of plastic.

  • Have you figured out if the Dash will support chips larger than 2GB? How would you find out, other than trying it?

  • Speaking of SDHC, does the P1610 accept SDHC cards? If not, could Fujitju come up with a firmware upgrade for that. Also which mobile device natively accept SDHC cards at this moment?
