Samsung follows Nokia, adopts mobile podcasting
This is probably old news, but somehow I missed the fact that Samsung is starting to adopt podcast players on their phones, following Nokia, who offers a nice podcatcher for S60 devices. The first Samsung phone with podcast service is the UpStage; dual-sided phone and digital audio player available for Sprint. The service is actually provided by VoiceIndigo who maintains a podcast catalog for subscriptions, downloads and listening through either your phone or directly in a browser.
Although there’s no official support for direct podcast subscriptions and downloads on the iPhone yet, it’s an excellent device for direct podcast support without a PC or Mac. Perhaps someone has used the RSS reader application to try it?
