Coffee Break – meeting with jkOTR reader, Dave R.
For something as global as the ‘world wide web’, it amazes me that some jkOTR readers are practically in my backyard. Well, not literally, or I’d probably call the police unless you told me were just camped out for some free WiFi.
My home is right between the metropolis of Philadelphia and the Billy Joel-immortalized city of Allentown. Sure enough, the Starbucks closest to home is just south of Allentown, so I’m here in Quakertown right now with jkOTR reader (and frequent commenter) Dave R, a resident of Allentown.
Before Dave got here, I was stopped by no less than three folks asking me what the heck device I’m using. I’ve got a whole set of standard lines to explain the Samsung Q1P and my external Bluetooth keyboard, so I’m used to it by now. Of course, they would have gone bonkers if I had unloaded my gadget bag since I brought the iPhone, T-Mobile Dash, Nokia N80, Nokia N800 and Microsoft Zune. Better watch out for a mobile tech mugging here; hopefully Dave’s got my back.

Thou art sick.
And how many AC chargers?
Zero AC chargers. I can drink coffee MUCH faster than my devices can eat batteries.

Are we really allowed to do that?
Good tip.
LOL: last night I was heading into the bar & for 5 seconds I considered leaving my tech bag (purse) in the car. Yea I regained my common sense & took it in, but imagine the robber’s delight at a p1610,UX280, Cingular 8125, Verizon U720, and Sony digital camera.
