I got the unit before the launch in korea, I have been using it for about 2 weeks and the functions are great, The speed of the unit was almost like my regular notebook PC, I travel alot around the world and was looking for a fast PC. I ran across this unit in korea, and found that the user interface like the keyboard and the dual touchpad and touchscreen was one of the greatest ideas seen so far. I didn’t have to lay it down to use it. i could do everything while holding it. The unit had great power. I think this one is a keeper.

The VX700 is the integrated northbridge & southbridge chipset. It's the same chipset in the OQO model 02 and the Samsung Q1B.

Hello, I am Paul Kim, a reporter of AVING USA.

I send my kind greeting to all editors who are interested in AVING news reports.

I'd like to list up all the online media that cite our news content or photo images, and make a hyperlink to each of them on the intro webpage of AVING website (www.aving.net), which can attract more visitors to your website. However, you shall not be allowed to report any of moving pictures and photos by modifying or processing the same. And in case where any dispute arises between AVING and any third party due to the news reported by you by editing and modifying the text provided by AVING, you shall be responsible for such dispute.

So, it would be great if you kindly fill the following form and send me a reply. Then we would take it as your agreement to join AVING Global News Network.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon and thank you for your help.

1. Name of the website:
2. URL:
3. Language:
4. Publisher (or Editor in chief):
5. Email:

The original Aving.net story has the UMPC listed as running a VIA C7M ULV CPU/VX700 GPU. Does the VX700GPU mean that this device has its own dedicated video card? I suppose that could explain its large size.

Why don't we keep making UMPCs bigger and keep adding things like optical drives? Oh, I guess then they'd be laptops.
