Awww.. this makes me sad. I really like the occasional inked post. It really conveys that “on the run” feeling. Maybe, for the 48%, you can ink a post once in a while??

JK, I like the idea of ink + text translation. Even more so, I’d like to get a feel for the relative inking quality of the various machines (e.g. OQO vs. Advantage vs. whatever FedEx brings you next time) as I continue to mull over my potential next machine. That assumes, of course, that all of those machines are ink-blogging capable.

One, positive, way of looking at the votes is:
(18%+30%)=48% (yes) vs 52% (no)
Another, negative, very different, way is:
18% (yes) vs (52%+30%)=82% (no)

I liked the hand written posts, it’s a welcome change from all the text that I normally read. I also liked the tone on the ink posts, the writing is more stream of conscience when it’s hard to use the backspace button. Your post on stealth blogging is one of my all time favorite articles from JK on the run.

I voted for the “hurts my eyes” option, but I think the use of ink is a cool thing. My only complain was your calligraphy, maybe you could work on that since you use tablets so much?

Yes, please do still have ink posts with the text under them. I love those notes! They may be messy, but they sure are short and spiffy.

Hi JK, I for one have never been too keen on the hand written posts. However, i don’t think that inking is usless for blogging in the least. Just because i find it difficult to read some of the hand writen posts dosen’t mean that your diagrams or pictures are hard to follow. In fact i think using the ink feature for drawing rather than writting everything is a fantastic idea. Remember, A picture paints a thousand words… or in truth, can at least save you a couple of sentences . Pictures have become very important within text on the net, from smiley’s to express emothion to the encapsulated images wrapped in text to aid understanding. I think that most will agree that text with accompanying icons/images tend to be more visually pleasing (and in some cases easier to follow) than their plain text counterpart. So for that reason, it would be a shame to see ink go totally when it has so much potential.

Why not hold another vote to see if picture inking is more accepted by your fans.

Well I for one enjoyed the handwritten posts and the sense of spontaneity that accompanied them. Perhaps there could be a fund towards you taking a calligraphy course? Would using a quill help?
