HP 2710p Tablet PC arrives at Mobile Tech Manor

It arrived!  The HP 2710p convertible Tablet PC is now nestled safe and snug in the dock at Mobile Tech Manor.  The arrival was marred by some unexpected events to be detailed later but the 2710p is sitting pretty right now, in fact I’m writing this on the device.  It’s a very sweet Tablet, I really like it so far.  I’d describe it as what the tc1100 would want to be when it grows up.  More details to follow of course but for now here’s a single photo of the 2710p sitting in the dock wearing the ultra-slim battery:

  • Are you going to purchase this device and send back the loner Thinkpad X61?

  • would love to hear what you think of the lack of buttons on the slate portion when using it in tablet mode.

  • Joshua, I was thinking the same thing. First the Fujitsu, then the Lenovo, now the latest HP. How many tablets does a guy need?

    I don’t have even one.

Rumor has it there’s an Oqo hiding around there, somewhere, too. Haven’t heard hide nor hair from (or about) that bad boy.

  • For the record, I own two Tablet PCs, the Fujitsu P1610 and the HP tc1100 which I’ve given to my wife. All other devices that grace the Manor do so temporarily and will go back where they came from. And it’s so easy to get attached to the cute little buggers, too.

  • What!? They make you give them BACK? What a ripoff!

What are the names of these companies, again…just a minute, let me get a pen…

Um, how are you liking the Oqo, btw?

  • I am enjoying the OQO just fine, when I get some time I intend to write up the device.
