Dellm6300If only the screen was 15-inches instead of 17-inches then maybe I could have called the M6300 the most powerful ultra-mobile PC. I jest of course, at least about the "ultra-mobile" part. I’m not kidding about the powerful reference however as Dell’s new M6300 appears to be a rocket on paper. Dell offers up to an exclusive 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo combined with 36-bit addressing for the Dual Channel memory which provides access to a full 4 GB of memory when using the 64-bit version of Vista. Without this combo, you can put 4 GB of memory inside, but the OS usually won’t allow you to effectively use all of it without some tweaking. Dell also stuffed NVIDIA Quadro FX1600M graphics, 802.11n wireless connectivity and the option for a solid state drive or SSD for good measure. Watch for it on Dell’s site and then look for a big gadget bag to tote around all of this portable power. ;)

  • Still waiting on their Tablet PC. I’m darn frustrated with tablets that can be cut in half by table saws or bashed open like piñatas, or at least I am after watching their videos.
