Hi James, Major congrats on this milestone. I experienced this, almost exactly, but from a daughter's POV. My father (at 52) had quintuple bypass surgery (I guess he didn't have any self-fixing arteries as you did -- and one of his arteries was blocked in two places) and it was, without question, life changing for him and everybody close to him. Like you, my dad came out of it all very healthy and with a new outlook. His surgery was in 1992 and he's had almost no new buildup on the rerouted arteries. Isn't that amazing? It's been almost 15 years! I'm so proud of him.
Anyway, your story moves me in a very familiar (literally) way and I'm very thankful that you shared this anniversary with all of us in jkontherunland.
Best, Jamie

Hey James, I think that its great that you celebrate this time in your life - its certainly a time to reflect on one's life, and get a bit of perspective - that's certainly what I've gotten from reading your story a few years ago. Happy anniversary, and here's to many more :)
