While I don’t personally use a screen protector on my UMPC, I’m impressed with BoxWave’s offerings. For $27.95, you get your choice of an Anti-Glare or Crystal protector. The two types of protectors are difficult to show on video, but hopefully you’ll get an idea of the difference between the two. Both fit the screen well and had a nice feel when inking.  After noticing the wear and tear on the right side of my screen from scrolling up and down, I might change my mind and purchase one of these. Now the question is: which one?

  • Kevin nice VBLOG shows the difference. I have the crystal clear one on my Q1P and have always used some kind of screen protectors because I’m always writing on the screen and don’t want the screen to get scratched.

  • My answer to your question in definitely the AG. I’ve been using it since I got my PDA (Axim x51) in Dec. 2005. I’ve only had to replace it once since then. I love it because it doesn’t show fingerprints very much, but that may not be as big a deal with an active digitizer since you can’t use your fingers. Still, it does exceptionally well in fluorescent light, which happens to be the light of choice here at the University.

  • Thanks for the video. I need a new screen protector since the scroll bar area of my current screen protector is getting scratched up now. $30 seems a bit high for a piece of plastic though.
