The newest Fujitsu UMPC, the u810, is now on sale at the Fujitsu US online store.  There are two configurations available, one with Vista Business and another with Vista Home Premium.  The two models otherwise seem to be configured the same and are priced at $1,099 and $999 respectively.  Both models have a 5.6-inch screen, 1 GB of memory and a 40 GB hard drive. • I say wait till Newegg has it, it seems like Newegg and Fujitsu have some kind of deal and you can find Fujitsu’s stuff at least 10% cheaper than other places.

    One example:

  • OOO! I have been checking this thing out over on Gear Diary and it sounds like a bang up machine. VERY interested in getting one. Now how do I come up with a extra thousand bucks?? :D

  • I have been toying with the idea of selling my Advantage and picking one of these up…I hope we see some good reviews soon :)

  • I’ve had mine since Friday, it’s a sweet little machine. The fan runs most of the time, and it can get a bit warm on the right side. But the screen is very good. I got the Vista Business model, and it came with both Vista and XP Tablet restore discs. Vista runs pretty good, but disabling more of the frills helps of course. (Aero was disabled by default, unlike the Q1 Ultra.)

Any idea if the RAM can be upgraded? I pulled the bottom cover (4 screws), but no SODIMM socket was visible.
