Kingston announces 4 GB SDHC memory cards
Kingston has announced today their release of a 4 GB memory card using the SDHC format. The SDHC format extends the memory limit of SD cards so that larger capacity cards can be produced. Note that the slot you intend to use an SDHC card must be SDHC compliant as they will not work in regular SD slots. Kingston will sell the 4 GB for $91 which I must admit is a pretty good deal. They also offer packages including a card and adapters to work in other sized slots. The Kingston cards have a transfer rate of 4 MB/second which is pretty fast.

Yesterday I just ordered a ADATA 8GB SDHC card for my new beat up cheapass hybrid high def cam (Aiptek A-HD). Got it from Newegg for $65.
4MB per second is crap, the big cards from Sandisk get 20.
Oh.. Kingston announced 4GB microSD SDHC cards. That’s a nice price.
Ahh, I see they finally cought up to this Transcend 4BGB SD Card that was released about 1 year ago. It used to be $44, now it has gone up to $76. I found this when I bought my camera and like the fact that it is has 150x (22.5 MB per second) write speed. It is the fastest SD card I have found. A little odd to actually go up though, I think…
