WakerupperOn the road and need a wake-up call? Have no fear, Wakerupper is here! This free site lets you choose the date and time of your call; you can even type a 140-character message and Wakerupper will translate the text to speech and read your reminder to you. I gave it a try and it nailed this 100%: "This is a test message. Don’t forget to pick up Tyler."

The best part is, you don’t need a fancy, schmancy smartphone since Wakerupper works with any phone that’s capable of… well… being a phone! Aside from the traveling types, this could be useful for scheduling important task reminders and such. The website offers some suggested uses, but I don’t think I’d personally use this to "remind a child or spouse to do chores" or "tell someone you love them". I have plenty of non-techie ways to do those things; shame on me (and you) if we need a web service to share our feelings for significant others. But while we’re on the subject… we do appreciate you readers! :)
