Hp2710pI know that James is enjoying the HP 2710p Tablet PC; he must since he bought one out of pocket after using a loaner from HP! Those of you who were on the fence about the 2710p might want to know that HP just announced embedded 3G as an available option for it. You’ll get Sprint’s fast Rev. A EV-DO embedded inside your 2710p, so you won’t need to answer the question: PC Card or USB for 3G connectivity? HP also announced the 3G radio inside the 6510b, 6910p and 8510 series of notebooks. You’ll have to pay for your monthly service, which is usually around $59.95 a month, but for a limited time, HP will spot you one free month if you purchase one of the models with full-time, fast data connectivity. How fast? We tested the similar service from Verizon in January. How does 1.4 Mbps down and nearly 600 kbps up grab you? If Sprint isn’t your thing, you can also get either AT&T’s BroadbandConnect or Verizon’s BroadbandAccess, both of which were available prior.
