Your point is valid wls but where I am finding it useful is when I want to watch something I recorded but the family is watching something else. I can go out by the pool and watch it on the iPod.

So you can watch a recorded movie at home over your wifi network on a 3 inch screen instead of your HDTV? Unless you need to watch a program from your bathroon I don’t see the point of that.

Now see if you can access your home network over the router through a internet connection and go to Starbucks drink coffee and watch your recorded programs there all day. Now you have something!
