Why that would be our very own Kevin Tofel who is right now waiting to collect his jackpot winnings from a $1 slot machine of $10,000.  Yes, that’s a 1 followed by four zeros!  Congratulations on the big winning Kevin!  I couldn’t live blog it as they frown on electronic gadgets in the casino but rest assured his smile was a mile wide!

  • Thanks everyone! What an awesome experience that was on the very last night of our stay. I wasn’t even planning to stay up too late because I have a 7am flight out of here, which means up by 4 to get moving. Glad I decided to have a little fun in the casino after all!

As far as the what are you going to buy question… I’m not sure I’ve seen any “must have” devices at this show. There’s the promise of some good things to come this year, but as for now… nothing that’s available is wowing me. Besides, I do lose money every month with this gig… honest truth. What I’ll probably do is bank it to extend my full-time blogging effort. I’d likely be through my savings by the end of this year otherwise. Thanks again. w00t!!!

  • You are just like my father. My father doesn’t gamble (probably setting an example for my brother and I) while he is in Las Vegas. However, one day we were waiting in a buffet line and my mom gave my dad two quarters and he put them in bam – $20,000. Lucky lucky lucky. Same for you as well and Congrats : )

  • Yes Kev should invest the entire amount so he can keep doing what he loves and providing all of you with such great information. He is so thankful for all the friendships and support all of you have provided. OK so that’s the logical side of his gal. On the personal side, I’m all for wedding reception dinner at Melt and limo service to get us all there.

Congrats darling, what a way to cap a great trip.

  • Wedding limo and reception at Melt works for me. Unfortunately, I didn’t win enough to invite all the readers, but I think they’ll understand.

  • Congrats man! That should help with the wedding plans! Maybe you should give up the writer profession and become professional slots tournament player.

  • Glad to see that you had better luck than I did on those devil machines. Unfortunately I’m here two more days (waiting to head up to Macworld) and now you have me thinking that *one* more dollar couldn’t hurt…

    sigh

  • I’d actually spent ZERO dollars gambling until I got the textfrom Kevin. Then I went to a machine and dropped $7 in because I also wanted a $10k per diem. That $7 lasted me probably 30 mins and at one point I was up over $80 but of course gave it all back. Congrats, Kevin. Wawa’s on you next time!

  • Congrats! After taxes, that ought to buy a few months worth of food for that new puppy of yours.
