Protect and carry that Eee PC with a hard drive case
Bob Russell pinged me with a nice tip: folks are reporting that this $22 Case Logic Hard Drive model works pretty well. Overstock is currently selling it and it should be just fine considering the dimensions of 10.7 x 9.6 x 2.0 inches. Should be plenty of room for your Eee which measures 8.9 × 6.5 × 1.4 inches. The Eee PC comes with a soft case so I’d probably leave that on when using this Case Logic unit since there’s some extra room to spare there. Here’s the original mention of this case, which also has some insight on Gutenbrowse for the Nokia N800.Any other case recommendations by Eee PC users out there? Thanks Bob!

I bought a Skooba sleeve (micro size) when it was on sale at 50% off. I would have preferred something even smaller, but I can carry the Eee with Power Supply and the Skooba then fits in my eBag Router bag (rolling backpack).
For my P1610, I bought a slip case made for a 10 inch portable DVD player. The P1610 fits in it with room to spare. It was $9.99 at Walmart but you could probably find it online also. It sounds like it would fit the Eee PC.
I use this messenger type bag. http://www.rei.com/product/733023?vcat=REI_SEARCH
There is room for my EeePC, GPS puck, mouse and AC power adapter.

I went a little different. I purchased a reproduction WWII Gas mask bag. (Same bag Indiana Jones carries in the movies) Has room for my EeePC, Sony Reader, cell phone and a few other extras. I leave the Eeepc in it’s padded slip case for some extra protection. Stylish and functional. http://onlinemilitaria.net/shopexd.asp?id=1913&bc=no
