Skyfire web browser reviewed on Brighthand

We were one of the first to tell you about the very nice looking mobile browser Skyfire but Ed Hardy of Brighthand has us beat.  He has published a thorough review of the Skyfire browser including a sweet video of it in action and I have to say that Skyfire looks like a very decent browser for Windows Mobile devices.  Check out Ed’s review to see why so many people are talking about Skyfire today.  Kevin and I had a long conversation with Ed Hardy in Las Vegas this month and it was nice to meet someone who I have followed for years and years.  Interestingly, Ed showed us how he uses a Nokia N800 as not only his mobile blogging platform but even to maintain the Brighthand site.  He knows mobile browsing as a result so don’t miss his Skyfire review.

  • One of the main reasons I haven’t been looking at Windows Mobile devices is the lack of flash support. Now if they could support some higher resolutions.

  • Reminds me of Thunderhawk from Bitstream which was one of the coolest things ever. If this takes off, I’ll go back to WinMo in a heartbeat. I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes of this and how much they’re going to charge for it.

  • if one can get this to play nice with celio’s redfly, one could in theory use a phone as a simple MCP, and not miss a thing ;)
