  • Love the show! Thanks so much for giving it the third try — we all really look forward to these installments of MOTR.

James: you turned my world upside down, I think. Did I hear you say that the HP 2710p is *lighter* than (or maybe as light as) the Air? Even if it’s close to 3lbs I’m going to have to consider a move away from my trusty x61t in favor of a lighter 2710p.

  • Jamie, my 2710p weighs 2.8 lbs with the standard battery which is .2 lbs lighter than the 3 lbs of the Air. I guess your world is now officially upside-down. :)

  • OK… one more question for you James.

How much battery time (normal activity) are you getting from the standard battery? I’ve looked up the stats but I’m much more interested in your real world experience.

I appreciate your patience as I survive the turmoil and excitement of this paradigm shift. :)

  • @kevin-you mentioned that you sync google calendar to your iphone, but didn’t mention the product. what do you use? goosync for iphone? (http://www.goosync.com/iPhoneSyncConfig.aspx)

  • Jamie, I have the standard battery and get 5 hours out of it. I get another 5 – 5.5 hours with the extended slice battery attached to the bottom of the 2710p.
