McdonaldswifiWorking on the go can be darn near impossible without connectivity and WiFi hotpspots can go a long way to help out there. Hey, not everyone wants to pay $60 or more a month for a speedy wireless signal, but of course the problem with WiFi is that you have to find a location that’s covered. Last week saw news on this front as Starbucks announced service for AT&T as well as T-Mobile hotspot customers and Boingo was quick to fire back. They operate a large network of WiFi locations and tacked on another 9,000 by teaming up with Waypoint for service at McDonald’s locations. With the $7.95-a-month plan from Boingo, you’ve now got a place to surf on your handheld while downing a McSomething. Let’s not even talk about which venue has the better coffee… although you do get a toy with the Happy Meal. That should count for something.(via Computerworld)
