Boingo_logoKevin was quick to point out that WiFi provider Boingo can get you wireless coverage in McD’s.  It seems everyone is thinking WiFi with the Starbucks announcement they are switching to AT&T in their stores.  I just heard from Boingo who informed me that due to a roaming agreement they have with AT&T you will be able to use your Boingo access to surf the web in Starbucks after they transition to AT&T.  Boingo at $7.95 per month (smartphones/ PDAs) or $21.95 per month (laptops) is beginning to sound like the way to go for me. Note that this laptop rate is the rate for North American access only, global access is $39 per month.

  • Hmm but I thought star$ gave you free WIFI anyway with a minimal purchase. Still I think Boingo is getting to be a decent deal for mobile users. Now when are they going to have a iphone/touch client so we can use their networks??

  • Doesn’t look that way, but it was a logical guess.
